Victoria Beckham has sparked a parenting row over her alleged “sultry” pose with son Brooklyn Beckham.

victoria shared a picture of herself checking out the 19-year-vintage’s tie in advance of the Argento ball in aid of the Elton John AIDs foundation on Thursday night.

the fashion clothier defined Brooklyn as her “best date” as she posed with her son for the Instagram post.

She captioned the shot: “The perfect date @brooklynbeckham #25anniversary #argentoball #fightagainstaids @ejaf @eltonjohn @davidfurnish X VB.”

The post sparked a debate over appropriate levels of parental affection with some branding Victoria’s pose “weird” while others said the picture left them feeling “uncomfortable”

“Shouldn’t David be your ‘date’, not your son,” one commented.

Another wrote: “While I think it is lovely that she is bringing her son to the ball, the photo is a tad inappropriate looking - maybe it’s the poses but it looks slightly inappropriate. Am I wrong?”

A third posted: “Mother and son looking like a couple.”

A fourth wrote: “Slightly bizarre/odd facial expressions for me considering this is Mother & Son....”

Others defended the mother-of-four with one posting: “It is only weird in the minds of sick people...”

Another wrote: “Think she looks gorg and all she is doing is putting on her sons tie who will always be her baby no matter how old x think the comments are v inappropriate.”

It is not the first time the famous family have come under fire from critics over their levels of affection.

David Beckham was forced to defend his decision to kiss his six-year-old daughter Harper on the lips last year after people took aim at him.

Speaking in a Facebook Live interview, he said: “I'm very affectionate with the kids.

“It's how I was brought up, and Victoria, and it's how we are with our children."

“We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them, and support them, and you know, we're very affectionate with them."
