In 2015, Odhiambo Susan Samira Johnson, 42, was caught with 5.345kg cocaine concealed in school bags. She had claimed she was given the school bags in Bujumbura by a friend to deliver in Nigeria.
Susan ailed in prison for a few months and died on February 16, 2018, on her way to hospital and has since been buried. According to reports, she was two months away from completing her term.
